What We Do
Meridian Foster creates solutions to educate the public at large with the principles of sound money management, stewardship, and financ ial responsibility. This includes but is not limited to public and private high schools, companies and their employees, civic organizations, institutions of higher learning, religious organizations and youth rehabilitation facilities.
Our solutions are developed by top advisors and industry experts to enrich peoples' lives by providing them with the essential skills and edifying presentations, workshops and forums that not only challenges, but revises their perspective on credit, on money management and wealth accumulation.
How we accomplish this takes many forms. Where we see the largest gap, and potential to transform the maxiumum number of lives, is through our corporate partnerships and employee education platform. We partner with Human Resource professionals to customize our course outline (if needed) and delivery method (live events, lunch 'n learns, web-based learning) to make the most meaningful impact to their workforce. We design our courses in a way that encourages participation, and are fun, engaging and rewarding.
In addition to our flagship corporate offering, The SMART Employee™, we also facilitate professional continuing education to Realtors, CPAs, CFPs, Insurance Agents and Mortgage Lenders. The courses are packaged and licensed to other advisors and firms across the country as part of our Private Label and Educator In A Box™.
Why We Do It
We are in unique times. In February 2009 the Consumer Confidence Index reached its lowest level since being measured. In 2005, the National Savings Rate went negative for the first time since the Great Depression. We have witnesses the collapse of major financial institutions, and a free-fall of housing values where 67% of Americans have most of their net worth. Peole are not asking, but are silently begging for leadership, direction and a sense of confidence. Now more than ever, the leaders in this country - from heads of corporations to heads of high schools - need to take a leadership role and deliver education in a way that is both meaningful and transformational.
We have people at every level of corporate America that do not understand how credit scoring works, and courses in our schools that cover everything except the nuts and bolts to start on a solid foundation. From advanced financial concepts to simple monthly budgeting practices, and from time management to lifestyle design, our curricula has something to offer everyone at every stage in life.
